What is Tortilla?
A tortilla is somewhat similar to ‘Chapati’ and could be made from corn or wheat. It is a thin flatbread and was initially made by the indigenous people of Mesoamerica.
It occupies a major place in every house across the world. People love to have it with gravies, roll it in vegetables or eat it just like that.
There are many recipes making use of tortilla as their main ingredient.
The slight difference between tortilla and chapati is that tortilla is made using lard or vegetable shortening to bring about their smooth and silky texture while chapati is a bit of a rougher dough and vegetable oil or canola oil.
However, you can anytime use normal chapati for making baked tortilla chips. It’ll taste just the same.
